I am trying to record samples in TX16Wx (a rare software 'sampler' that actually records samples), but I haven't figured out how to get an audio signal from Live into the plugin.
  1. “TX16Wx is a 100% free VSTi Sampler with professional features and an easy to use graphical interface – and – one of the few sampler instruments, free or commercial, with a fully documented file format. Not a preset-player or disk-streaming library engine, this is a plugin for you to make your own sounds, tweak and experiment.
  2. I am trying to record samples in TX16Wx (a rare software 'sampler' that actually records samples), but I haven't figured out how to get an audio signal from Live into the plugin. I've got a MIDI track with TX16Wx on it, and I've tried sending an instrument track's 'Audio To' to the TX16Wx track.
I've got a MIDI track with TX16Wx on it, and I've tried sending an instrument track's 'Audio To' to the TX16Wx track. I've also tried using Send A for the instrument track's audio, then setting Return track A's 'Audio To' to the TX16Wx track, but when I'm in the plugin's sample editor, it's not able to record anything and the VU meter doesn't register any activity, whether or not the L button is activated. In both cases, '1/2-TX16Wx' appears beneath my selected audio track, but is grayed out. I assume that those are inputs exposed by the TX16Wx plugin.
What is the proper way to route audio from Live into TX16Wx so I can record samples from them? I did check the manual and the quick start guide, and can't find anything about input configuration.
Here's an example configuration I've tried; routing the instrument track's output to Send A, and then setting the Return track's output to the TX16Wx track..
